Description
Tangy-sweet and extremely juicy, ripe nectarines have a somewhat firm texture and lightly fibrous flesh.
Cosmetic defects will not detract from internal quality
If fruit is not ripe, leave at room temperature for a couple of days, or put them in a paper bag with a banana or apple for a few days. They will mature but will not sweeten further.
When fully ripe they are best stored in the refrigerator, but allow them to warm to room temperature before using.
Fruit should NOT be washed until ready to use.
